Could, but there is a larger issue; they are sending email using my
domain, thus people could think it is from IFD. Haven't seen any problems
from this so far, but I need to keep an eye on it.

I tried the one in switzerland a while back, and they didn't respond at all.

>Change domains.

I'm too stubborn to give up a 3 letter domain name to a bully :) I did
register ideasfromthedeep.com though, and may have to use it as an
alternative for a while :)

Done.

Gave them notice that all future emails on ifd.com may be considered
public domain.

Good idea! Let's talk on this, maybe if we 1-2'd the stories it would get
better press (as in, wow, this is becoming a large problem on the interent...)

>You might also be able to get law enforcement interested in this.

I had thought about this, but had not taken it seriously...but now that I
know it's a possible felonly...I might. I'll probably use this as a "or
else" scenario first and see what happens.

THANKS for all the input everyone! It's good to realize that a lot of
options are open to me. Plus, it seems that I may have the right to get
compensated for all the time, effort, software and hardware I've thrown
at this problem over the past 5 years, esp. the past few weeks and that's
heartening. I did manage to contact a branch manager, and that resulted
in some action; they tried to contain the emails via a routing system,
but instead every email sent is now getting errors which are sent to me.
(permission denied to run program, routing table failure, all kinds of
bad things...hope it screwed up their entire mailing system!)

Oh well, I previously gave them until today to stop using my domain or
face legal action. Guess I need to start calling around :)
