First thing would be to make sure you have classic set to not sleep in the System Prefs. I still occasionally have a problem with SIMS, but I noticed mine tends to lock up around 12 midnight when running under classic. So, right now I'm experimenting with shutting SIMS down at 23:58 and starting it up again at 00:02. I am just using a couple of one-line Applescripts with cron to get the job done now, and so far it seems to be working. It's only been a couple of days though.
