Right, but in Classic as in OS 9, the lack of protected memory means force-quitting an app may (in my experience *does*) make the entire OS unstable until it's restarted. Of course, it appears there's no way from the command line to identify an individual app running in Classic, so that looks less attractive as an option anyway. <unsolicited opinion> Classic strikes me as pretty much dead-end technology anyway. I'd either migrate the older apps to an OS 9 box or-- ideally-- switch to using native OS X apps across the board. Classic, like Virutal PC, is an incredible feat of engineering; also like VPC, however, it's best suited to occasional use. If you have to use the other OS all the time, better to get a box that runs it natively. </unsolicited opinion> -- Dave Pooser Manager of Information Services Alford Media http://www.alfordmedia.com ############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
