A while (as in a few years) back someone on this list developed a web mail solution that worked with SIMS, although the name of it escapes me at the moment.
I modified a version of the atdot webmail software to run under MacPerl and several readers of this list successfully deployed it. It is *not* fast (at least running on my old 7200/120's). Also, atdot has all but disappeared except for their pithy home page:
http://www.atdot.com
so I really don't know what the copyright status of the code is. That said, if anyone wants to play around with it, I'd be happy to try to locate the source code and send you a copy of it off-list. Just understand that I haven't used the code in *years* and no longer even run MacPerl anywhere, so I wouldn't be able to answer even the vaguest questions about the software, nor would I be willing to take responsibility if the code ends up causing your machine to burst into flames shortly after becoming the west's largest spam relay point.
