Well, a few weeks later I finally received my first IP phone (Polycom 320).
I followed the directions found here to set it up:

http://sipx-wiki.calivia.com/index.php/How_to_configure_Phones

It boots up and appears to freeze on a screen that shows the IP address,
MAC address and firmware revision. The IP address is what I expected, so it
appears that the DHCP server is working correctly. I've tripple checked the
MAC address, and it was entered correctly when I set up the phone.

I searched the website a bit and found the following on how to setup Polycom
phones:

http://sipx-wiki.calivia.com/index.php/HowTo_configure_Polycom_SoundPoint_IP
_phones_with_sipX

I followed the instructions, as they were slightly different, but still no
luck. BTW, this page appears to be very outdated (e.g. "The new low-end
models IP-320 and IP-330 will be added in the 3.10 release.").

I also found the following:

http://sipx-wiki.calivia.com/index.php/Troubleshooting_Polycom_SoundPoint_Ph
one

I verified that it could check the boot server by running the following (I
set up FTP prior to this):

wget ftp://PlcmSpIp:plcms...@hostname/syncinfo.xml

This worked as expected. BTW, the documentation appears to have the
incorrect case for the user name. It shows wget
ftp://plcmspip:plcms...@hostname/syncinfo.xml instead of wget
ftp://PlcmSpIp:plcms...@hostname/syncinfo.xml.

When I try to send the profile, I see the following error in the job status
screen "Timed out waiting for response".

I am able to ping the phone.

It looks like this should be really simple, but I'm not sure what I'm doing
wrong. I'm not sure if this is related or not, but I am getting an error
when running the Configuration Diagnostic Tests. The error is DHCP (Option
120) Test - No SIP servers supplied. All other tests pass. I've looked into
this previous and cannot find what I've done wrong (I followed all of the
instructions).

I am using sipXconfig (4.0.1-015351 2009-04-30T19:09:20 ecs-centos5). All
services (DNS, DHCP, etc.) are running of the sipXecs box.

The Polycom firmware revision is 3.0.4.0061 and the bootrom is 4.1.1.0232.

Any ideas?
