I had toyed with the idea of using MOH, but hadn't enabled it.
I did this and now when I call in I hear music during the transfer. This is good enough for me. Thanks for the suggestion. In ACD. While on hold from a phone call (if gateways support it). I'm not sure there is amagic bullet for your needs until you better describe your configuration though. HOLD music can play IF your gateway is compliant and your phones are configured properly. I don;t see anywhere in the thread where you have described your setup. Would you elaborate? I also find that if I dial in and choose to call a direct extension, there is no ring-back. I get the message of "please wait while I transfer your call", then hear silence until either someone picks up or it's sent to voicemail. Some sort of a ring back tone or some such? In SIP, the ringback tone is generated locally by the calling phone. (Due to the SIP messages, it knows when it is waiting for a remote phone to answer.) So the critical question is what make/model/revision of phone you are using, and whether it can be configured to provide the ringback in this situation.
