most phones have a registrar and a proxy setting (independently). I would
suggest trying with xlite using the sipdomain. If that does not work, then
put the sipxproxy logging level to (debug for a short period if not a heavy
load), the watch the sipxproxy.log file with

tail -f /var/log/sipxpbx/sipXproxy.log

(or get a full sip trace, see the wiki).

Whatever the reason code, the real meaning behind it will pronounce itself
in the sipXproxy.log file. If the message doesn;t make sense when you look
at it then do a full sip trace so people here can assist you.
