I figured out how to have Mixed Versions of firmware for Polycom Phones

In this instance.. 3.1.3revC for my IP450, IP550, and IP650s.. And 3.2.3
for the IP335s (not supported in 3.1.3revC).

I do a lot of phone restarts with updates, so having to manually toggle
between the versions depending on the ones needing a change was ..
painful.

Basically I obtained ZIP files for both versions.

I pulled the 2345-12375-001.sip.ld, sip.cfg, and phone1.cfg out of the
3.2.3 zip file. Renamed sip.cfg =sip_3_2_3.cfg and phone1.cfg to
phone1_3_2_3.cfg.

Then loaded all three in the 3.1.3revC ZIP file.

Lastly in the 3.1.3revC zip file, changed the 000000000000.cfg file
adding the second line below under the first existing line.

<APPLICATION APP_FILE_PATH="sip.ld" CONFIG_FILES="phone1.cfg, sip.cfg"
MISC_FILES="" LOG_FILE_DIRECTORY="" OVERRIDES_DIRECTORY=""
CONTACTS_DIRECTORY="" LICENSE_DIRECTORY="">

<APPLICATION_SPIP335 APP_FILE_PATH_SPIP335="2345-12375.sip.ld"
CONFIG_FILES_SPIP335="phone1_3_2_3.cfg, sip_3_2_312.cfg"/>

I am using the 4.2.2 Bootrom.

So far it has worked like a charm.. However, Polycom does not like this
saying they do not support mixed versions.
