I can confirm that faxes worj through our mediant 2000s running 5.8. Something that is nice about the audiocodes is you can pre-pend the number with "FAX" before it is is sent to the routing tables, what would be nice and maybe someone knows how to do this, but if the median could re-write the number to the fax sip-uri alias that Tony pointed out is created when you set up a fax DID, that way someone could send a fax to a persons main extension, and the mediant would re-direct the call upon detecting t.38. I suppose this could be done by redirecting the call to the freeswitch port directly.
What is weird though is while I see that freeswitch successfully receives the fax, I don't always (it seems to work randomly) see the mail being sent in the mail logs. What process send the mail?
