Well I don't remember who first recommended deleting the phone and formatting it, but you at least set me down the right track. After doing that the speed dials showed up... Once I added the "new phone" back into the phone group they were gone again. After lots of trial and error I discovered that I had to enable a bunch of features to get them to show up. I think turning on "Presence, IM, Directory and Enhanced features" did the trick. I didn't try to spend more time to figure out if it was just 1 or 2 these, I just left them all on. If someone knows for sure which features have to be on to show speed dials that would be good to know... I don't like the Buddies and My Stat button showing on the phone if not needed.
