We have found with Polycom 550s and 650s that after a period of time (we don't know what causes it) the device files stop working. It causes Polycoms to boot-loop or not work for that matter, right out of the box. But we knew the devices files worked flawlessly with 99% of all our phones (3.2.5 and 4.3.0). So today I remembered we saw this in our initial tests when 4.4.0 came out. So just 15 minutes ago, 4 polycoms (2-550s and 2 - 650s) that we had listed as "dead" are now working correctly. How? By creating a new set of device files using the EXACT SAME files and deactivating the current ones and activating the "new" ones. I seriously downloaded the files from the SipX GUI and then created a new device files set using the downloaded files and all the problems we thought were Polycom issues were resolved. Has anyone else seen this or did I miss a bug report or something?
