@John,
@Len,

many thanks for your quick answers :-)))

1. Holes around bright stars.
Ok I can recognise the same dark holes in CdC V2.76 - it´s seems to be
a "feature" of tne HSC-catalogue ;-)
But brigth Capella is visible ?-)
I try to set only one catalogue for a special range of fields. In this
case in this fields is a loss of stars :-(
With overlapping catalogues I see two stars representing one star
(because the coordinates are any different).

2. OK fields of 10° ore more make no sense with the HSC. CdC and any
other starchart program slow down because of the amount of stars.
But what is going on in the shown case. There is a obvious clustering
of stars - it looks like a overlapping effect. In wider fields,
overlapping seems so strong that square dark holes are the result.
The smaler the field, the smaler the effect - but up from what field
starpositioning is really correct?

many thanks
Dieter

PS: I've added a new screenshot. If I click on "more stars" label are
obviously moved. A "label-empty" aerea is the result. Or do I have any
Problem with the HSC-compact data (I've downloaded them again, but
have the same problem).
