I would consider them obsolete. They should be replaced by org/apache/slide/store/txfile/TxFileContentStore and TxXMLFileDescriptorsStore. The old stores did not support
transactions, which is absolutly required by the cvs version
of slide. I think, you can switch from the old stores to the new ones without a need to convert your data. Just change your Domain.xml. Both stores are very fresh and may need some more testing.
But im am using TxFileContentStore on a production server, since the old store was known to be buggy and required manual fixing quite often.
I would consider them not only obsolete, but dangerous. When they fail, pepole will say Slide failed. When your car brakes down you do not care too much if it was due to the bad parts the vendor used to assmeble your car. You will say the car is bad.
