I'm not teasing when I say this stuff or post other's articles.
I am convinced 100% that Microsoft is a major problem
in the IT industry. I am convinced that there is something
very large at stake for all of us, including those of us
who do not even have computers. If it is not stopped now,
in 15 years it'll look like "Biffco" in "Back to the Future II".

Oh yes we do. We need to evangelise, proselytise and counter the
billions of dollars of marketing hype. And I don't mean harrass
companies or entities either. Making light of the problem is
one way to get attention - I often drop Bill Gates or MS jokes on
people (even non-computing) and they "get it". What we can't
do is terrorise or force opinion on people as that's just playing the
same game as Bill. Hey, I should mention - I'm not just opposed
to MS. I'm opposed to anything that restricts choices for people
and I believe in quality. FYI I am also just as vehemently
opposed to that "other MS" - MonSanto.

These are the sorts of things we need to bring out - there's
no performance gain, just plenty of fluff. If we don't work on these
matters it will get worse and if we don't speak out we'll all
be working for "Billco".
