Hi,

Telstra is not the only one or is not staying the only one. There is already
2 other competitors offering ADSL service, that do run and operate their own
network. OK there are still buying some backbone type connections from
Telstra, but they are putting in their own DSLAMs and DSL modems.

In fact Telstra is required to open up their exchanges to the competitors
and let them use Telstra installed last mile cables for the competitors
services. So it will be different to the ISDN desaster.

Those other providers are already operating in metro CBDs and connecting
areas around Australia. Want to know more - E-mail me privately.

I would have to agree the pppoe client works very well and is very easy to
install etc etc.
