I had a similar problem. Customer had a POS Dell originally Win ME and had it upgraded to 2000 pro. Just the OS, no RAM (64mb total). The machine runs like a brick and would be better served as a doorstop. Customer insisted at install a router was not needed to run one machine. After 2 months of running out there to power cycle his ABO I took a 4 port Linksys router out pre configured and put it in-between the radio and his POS. Problems solved. It may not have been such a problem if he would have restarted his own machine when it locked up, but instead he would wait for 2-4 days before restating his locked machine. In that time the ABO would drop the connection.
