Ok what kind of performance difference are
we talking of Short over Long I mean im not going to go changing 100 clients if
I'm only gonna get an added 50kbit of throughput but if it improves the
connection strength (Doesn't disassociate as easily) I will definitely do
it. As a note yes the CPE's have a setting for preamble they MUST be the
SAME as the AP or it just will not work. As a note alex never said it was suggested
to change in fact I noticed alex never really tells us exactly what to do he
suggests trying certain solutions. The preamble change was suggested when
someone asked what it was and he said that short preamble had better throughput
but longer time to associate. Chris From: Alex Wong
[mailto: Both
devices AP & CPE should use the same preamble. In airBridge, yes there is.
If you do select from available AP and double click the AP to associate, that
setting is automatically set. If the AP is Cisco which has short preamble
as default, that is the time we remind you to set to short in the CPE.
