Ok what kind of performance difference are we talking of Short over Long I mean im not going to go changing 100 clients if I'm only gonna get an added 50kbit of throughput but if it improves the connection strength (Doesn't disassociate as easily) I will definitely do it. As a note yes the CPE's have a setting for preamble they MUST be the SAME as the AP or it just will not work.   As a note alex never said it was suggested to change in fact I noticed alex never really tells us exactly what to do he suggests trying certain solutions. In airBridge, yes there is.
