So WHAT exactly is the point with the rj11 cable ? Sounds like a waste
to me if you can use the cat5. Not that a couple of rj11 connectors
are a lot of money but still not only are they a extra cost but the
fact that they are installed and wired means a little bit more work on
each unit and if you can use the cat5 cable..... Come one nobody will
hurt sB if you guys would say that one of your engineers had a brain fart
and didn't think of using the cat5 going inside for power....!!

Best regards,

NP> Huh.now I am stumped. I see that the POE unit is outside. So.if only
NP> one CAT5 passes through the wall, how does the outside unit get power??
NP> You cant possibly be using the indoor POE unit to combine the signal and
NP> power, then doing it again outside??

NP> Sorry.I am just confused.

NP> Oh.and I don't use ANY flush mounts (too much work). I use ONLY the

NP> Here is my 2 cents on this product that is obviously already in
NP> production...too late to make suggestions I guess.
NP> I definitely LOVE the compliance factors...the self sensing power
NP> adjustment....and the protection! Much needed improvements!!
NP> I don't like the added work I have to do to mount/install
NP> this...mounting the box, drilling 2 holes, cutting a hole in there wall
NP> for the flush mount plate, etc! I guess the client could still do a

NP> power plug using Rj-11...but there really is not chance of hurting
NP> anything there.
NP> I personally use a surface mount RJ45 block for all my installs. I
NP> drill one small hole from the outside and mount the jack over the top of

NP> the hole. Sure...flush mounts look nicer...but more work!!
