Well, I have no doubt now, in my mind at least, that the problem is the
smartBridges equipment now. Just got back from the water tower to reset the
one that was down, the one we replaced Thursday night with a new unit. We
had to repower it 8 times before it would come back up. The power would
come on, the Ethernet LED would come on solid, but the TXRX LED would not
come on at all. After 8 times of resetting the power it finally came back
up. Another reason I am sure now that it is the airPoints - I just realized
that I have one unit, out of five, that has not locked up (yet). And my
techs told me that it physically looks different from the other ones - they
said the LEDs are a little bigger and brighter - could this mean that it was
from a different manufacturing lot than the other ones? Sounds like it to
me. I am not bashing smartBridges, but I do think I got some bad units. I
am going to RMA all but the one that hasn't locked up and hope the
replacements come in before I lose the few customers I have. In the mean
time we will be climbing the water tower at least once a day to reset them
until the replacements get here.

That is definitely one to throw into my bag-o-knowledge! Thanks.

Ya...that aint the issue here though. Some of these units are indoors,
some are in NEMA enclosures, some are outdoors.

I have such a wide range of everything, and have tried EVERYTHING, that
I am left with only one conclusion.

Bad sB stuff.

I will be replacing it all this week. Will keep you posted.

I had a similar problem, ended up I did a shitty job os sealing the
connector(beer was involved)but it was like clock work the sun would
come up
APPO would go down for about an hour untill the moisture was dried out
by
the sun. Don't sound like your problem though, but hopes this helps
some.

Are you sure you don't have an interference problem? We had an ABO that
would lose association once or twice per day, even with the new
firmware.
I went out there, replaced and re-aimed the antenna, replaced the
LMR-400
jumper, and it was been solid ever since then.
