The easiest way to convert Hex to decimal is using Excel's HEX2DEC formula. You need the Analysis ToolPak Add-In installed (Tools --> Options --> Add-Ins). e.g. '=HEX2DEC(A2)' where cell A2 is the hexadecimal number of the MAC address.
Its a pain, but see it as a good opportunity to log all your gear! I've just done mine and it seems two of my units were produced with the old chips. I have registered all my sB gear online as soon as they are unboxed and I'm surprised sB haven't contacted me to inform me there may be an issue with the chip. What do I have to do with the radios that have the old chips?
