As Tom mentioned (Thank you), with the current hardware there is no additional memory is available to toggle the two firmware setup. There shouldn't be any problem using 0.09 firmware on the airbridge(with old chip) units. Have you tried using 0.09 firmware on this units? If you have any issues, please write to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for the further assistance.

It is technicaly possible but there in no room for two setups in the flash memory. The only way to change the op mode of an AB is to change load sifferent firmware. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Billy Huddleston Sent: Thursday, September 04, 2003 4:02 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [smartBridges] Backhaul with Air bridge. Could you all not have a toggle in the newer firmware that would allow you to go to single-mac transparent bridging? I mean, the AirBridges with the chip problem won't be able to run the older firmware... ----- Original Message ----- From: "sB Tech Support" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, September 04, 2003 4:54 PM Subject: RE: [smartBridges] Backhaul with Air bridge. > If the airBridge is connected directly to the router and with old > firmware (transparent bridge), this will work. > > Please refer to this FAQ > http://www.smartbridges.com/new/support/faq_ab.php#155 > > Alex > sB Tech Support > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Rudolph Worrell [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Friday, September 05, 2003 4:42 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [smartBridges] Backhaul with Air bridge. > > I had the same question and was told that this: > > "Is it advisable to use aPPO in client bridge mode at the base station. > If > you want to use airBridge, then it has to connect to a router with > transparent bridge firmware.
