Hi Alex, I have been running machines with similar X10SDV series boards for almost a year now and they are running fine (both with Xeon D-1521 and D-1541).
Major problem was with the ixgbe drivers but that was resolved early this year. Make sure to completely disable power-saving features (see other threads) and properly allocate cpu_limit and shares to the VMs otherwise the machine could lock up.
