Fantastic. Are you using the on-board SATA ports or an HBA? > The only thing that's currently needed for this (and a plethora of other > platforms) is enclosure management and SGPIO support in the AHCI driver if > you want the locate/failure LEDs on any attached drive enclosure to work, > such as on SMCI's SYS-5028D-TN4T system which has this board wired up to a > SAS backplane. I can easily locate and monitor the drives. Also, since Mickey pointed out that you are the one responsible for porting the necessary bits from FreeBSD to make these board work on SmartOS: Thank You. And furthermore, thank you for taking the time to respond to my post as well. This is one of the things I love about open source communities. I make a post to a list about a specific board, and /of course/ the guy responsible for making them work with my OS of choice just happens to respond. The simple things in life give me hope and make me smile. :-) ---Alex ------------------------------------------- smartos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/184463/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/184463/25769125-55cfbc00 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=25769125&id_secret=25769125-7688e9fb Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
