Correct - we did look at Postrun for this. Postrun is currently JDS private, but Laca says he can easily fix it up to be public. Also, it would (without further enhancement to Postrun) require more effort on the maintainer's part to add postrun scripts for each pkg installing info docs, that to just let an SMF service handle it. Also, the postrun approach is still icky/self-modifying in the sense that it's rebuilding some files after installing software, although postrun may not need to wait for a reboot. - Dermot
