Well in that case, the choice of svc:/network/dns/server which is only good for BIND was a poor naming choice. Perhaps a better choice in that particular scenario would have been / would be svc:/network/dns/server/bind and svc:/network/dns/server/bind:default. This message posted from opensolaris.org
