Mail changed the storage method. Tiger won't be able to read the new ones. You're going to have to export them from the laptop as mbox files and reimport I think.

From my iPhone

Yes from 10.6 to 10.4 as I have resurrected my old G5 PPC that was dead for six months and have been using my Intel MacBook since.

I want to import the mail from the Intel to the PPC but although it will import some folders and label them under 'Import', it won't take the InBox.

??

Ello, I doubt there is a way - but possibly if you go into your user/library/mail and get the mailboxes from there, your account should be something similar to "n...@-pop" or similar, and move the mailboxes into the tiger computer, alternatively moving the mails themselves from the mailboxes.

Then try to import (either drag and drop or file -> import) in the 10.4 mail

I'm not sure if it works but its worth a shot.
