Official tethering using iPhone is expensive and restricts you to 3G
speedzzzzzzz. http://shop.o2.co.uk/update/internet.html

Unofficial tethering still has the same speed problem and O2 will probably
be alerted by your consumption. Not sure what they'd do about it.

I've only ever used it as a quick fix, usually when staying in
£15-per-day-for-internet-mickey-taking hotels. I don't know of anyone using
it as their primary internet connection.
