You can add as many rules as you like. I have nearly 500 mail rules. Each one for a folder, and each rule can have as many sub rules as you need. You can use any combination to sort the mail.
I have one for Smug with a number of sub conditions set to move the message to a specific folder. Look at the options for actions to help you do what you want. A tip I could offer is to mark the message as flagged or unread so it makes it easier to find if you have to change the rules. You may have to do it a few times to get the effect that you want.
