Dear Tony

Thank you for this very detailed reply. I can see the logic in it all. The
trouble is that I cannot find my original discs. I imported the program from my
old machine using migration assistant. But I'd had to put a trial version of
iwork on my new MBP because I needed it desperately for a lecture last week
(the MBP arrived at 10.15 am on the day I was giving the lecture, having to
leave home at 12.00, so there was no possibility of a migration).

So I had a trial version, which I junked. And now I have my old version moved
into the new machine. But clearly with legacy from the trial version.

The problem is that I can't find the dvds for iwork 09. I can find all the
earlier versions, of course!

The solution below seems to work if you have the dvds.

Best, Ranulph
