I agree with Sam, there's a very slim chance that it will work, but it's deffo worth a shot. Also about the firewire target diskmode I spoke about there's an even lesser chance that it will work if the harddrive is broken, but if you have files that you cannot put any value on at your computer that aren't backuped I would recommend trying it prior to paying for data recovery (which can be VERY expensive)
