Hi Richard

I went through the same decision a few months ago, and came down in favour of the Air. I haven't regretted the decision and I'm using it now, while away from home. I didn't really need the light weight, but was concerned about whether I'd have enough disk space. What swung it for me was the screen resolution. At 1440x900 it was the same as my old MBP 15" (that I was replacing at 6 years old) and better than the 13" new MBP. In the end, I decided that I didn't need to carry around my entire iTunes connection and that's what was using most space. Its on both my iPad and iPhone anyway - plus an external 1Tb USB3 pocket drive was only around £80.

So, having made the decision and the purchase, I'm loving the speed and lightness of the Air - as well as the screen resolution and quality. Disk space is not a problem and its currently 50% full. I partitioned the external USB3 drive and I'm using it as a SuperDuper clone and a Time Machine drive while I'm away from home.

Hope that helps ... Graham

Hi,

My daughter is after a new laptop and it's a toss-up between a 13" MacBookAir or a 13" MacBookPro. Anyone got experience of making this choice? Prices seem pretty much equal so what do people think is the best investment?

Many thanks,

Richard
