I’ve got an SSD and 16GB RAM, Yosemite is no slower than Mavericks now I’ve
sorted the Mail problems. I’m not sure if it’s faster but Mavericks was always
lightning fast for me anyway, my MacBook Pro has a quad-core i7 in it so never
struggled much anyway.

Regards

Sam
