You don't have to actually pay them. You give them extra chores to work off the fine. And yes, I pay my kids for chores, I call it an allowance. If they don't do them, they don't get their allowance. If they do extra, they get extra. If they spend it all and need more money then tough luck. They are learning how to work to earn money. I don't really have the money myself to just give to them, but I figure doing things around the house helps me and helps them earn money.
well thats great for you and more power to you. my kids do chores because its their responsibility. and i would not punish them for an accident but hey thats just me
