For anyone possibly facing the same situation- with regard to what to
do about a wireless card meant for a PCMCIA slot on newer laptops that
only have the new Express card slot ...

there supposedly is an Express-Card to PCMCIA adapter. People probably
knew about this.  I found out about after a little digging... after I
was thrown of the track when the folks at Micro Center told me such a
device does not exist.
