Technically...

Sprint doesn't limit total the amount of transfer. There might be some
proforma limits in the fine print, but it's widely known (and
demonstrated - lots of streaming video on Sprint 1xEV-DO Rev. A) that
Sprint doesn't enforce transfer limits.

Verizon Wireless - when you exceed 5 GB in one month, throttles you
for the remainder of a month (no idea whether that's calendar month,
billing period, or what) and sends you a stern warning.

Also, Sprint will sell you broadband service for $60/month without
regard to whether you have Sprint phone service.

Verizon Wireless reserves the $60/month broadband plan for those that
have a VW phone; else VW broadband is $80/month

Plus tax, title, dealer prep, all the usual inane charges.

To answer Don's question about other broadband services -

AT&T has a similar plan, but check for transfer limits. Theirs is
called HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) or HSDPA (Download...) or HSUPA
(Upload...).

T-Mobile is still setting up their broadband service using new
spectrum they acquired in an auction a few years ago. Rumors are that
they'll make it initially available this year. Like AT&T they use GSM,
so theirs will also be HSPA / HSDPA / HSUPA.

Sprint is deploying Mobile WiMAX in Chicago and DC / Baltimore. Maybe
other markets soon.

Clearwire is deploying Mobile WiMAX in Portland (Beaverton) and
Sacremento. Maybe other markets soon.

There's a handful of others - Alltel, etc. but the above is a capsule summary.
