Laptops usually have a little notch in them meant for locks. Get a wire
with a lock on it that fits the notch, and you're all set. Vandalism is
an entirely different issue. I doubt you'd be able to address that
without _a lot_ of overhead. How about placing it within sight of the
check-in desk? Should deter vandals a bit...
