I've run Linux 3.0.8 32-bit on a Net6501. The Linux kernel for the
Net6501 needs to be quite recent as there was a bug in the 3.0.x kernels
before 3.0.8 that caused the kernel to die during the boot-up process.

I think I was successful with a 64-bit kernel, but for various reasons I
stayed at 32-bits.
