Interesting thing is that once I put the software on a 5 year old acer that
my
wife uses (an XP machine), single core, with roughly the same performance
as on the 2G duo core laptop I have now (although the soundcard on the
latter
is much more capable)

On linux, the processor load while receiving psk with 96k is seldom more
than
70% of a single core.
