The DVB device should just buffer and transfer MPEG TS packets. It is
ffmpeg and softdevice that deal with the resolution and aspect ratio.
Yes, those are set by the broadcaster. And sometimes they're set
incorrectly (such as 16:9 program being tagged as 4:3 for a couple of
minutes until someone corrected the error). I recorded that program,
if anyone is interested.
