Did someone say Battlefield 3? I love it! We should squad up!
I'm glad you guys mentioned the problem with Photoshop: I have PS opened
most of the time. Next time this happens I'll close it and see if I get
my keys back.

I'm using a new PC at work and I noticed this problem.
I use SI 2011SP2 and Photoshop CS5. (In my previous PC I used to use
Photoshop CS2 without problems)
I downloaded a keyboard test software and Alt didn't work there either
so I though it was a keyboard problem, and since my keyboard is
Microsoft I installed IntelliType just to try and to use those nice
shortcuts.
It seems to work fine now or at least that's what I thought, but after
reading this thread it may be a little too soon to smile. I have
Photoshop loaded but I'm not using it too much, I'm working now with
UVs since yesterday so that may be the reason why it is working fine
now even with PS in the background.
btw, ALT key alone does work, but ALT+2 to ALT+9 doesn't.
ALT +0 and ALT+1 and some other combinations does work fine.

It's not Softimage issue, it's adobe issue. For example when I play

working, just Shift+Esc

Just to confirm... the Alt-7 stops working when Photoshop runs in the
background but not every time. Closing Photoshop gets it working again.
And its not a 2013 related problem I had it happen already couple of
versions before.
Im using default SI keyboard mapping.

Just curious, are you using any keyboard mapping? Or is the Alt
setting having a conflict with the multi-language switch context

I'll be working along in 2012 SAP, and want to open something like
the ICE Tree or the Texture Editor. Since I'm on Windows I press
Alt-7 for the Texture Editor and Alt-9 for the ICE Tree. But
randomly, XSI will decide it no longer wants to recognize that and
will do nothing when those keys are pressed, until I restart XSI.
Alt-7 and Alt-9 do nothing until I restart.
I have yet to find a cause for it. But at least it's fixed by
relaunching Soft.
Ideas?
