Hi,
I got the idea, you're right not so convenient.
A good post for http://cgmemes.blogspot.com.au/
"yes, my timeline is entirely made with a particle system"
:))))))))))

Hi,
I just meant the markings on the timelines (timeline and the Anim Ed
in fact), it would be nice to label specific time periods such as
seconds, or 10 second labels with 1 second markings between them. A
bit like the way you can setup the main Viewport Grid.
Softimage currently calculates even spacings over the timeframe
displayed and just marks those.
e.g. 41:16 | | | | | | | | 43:18 | | | | | | | 45:20
Doesn't make for easy reading when you want to block stuff out.
I could setup some Ice-wise of course, with the spare time I have....
a substitute timeline displayed in the viewport might have to be the
way forward.
Ta,
Adam.

I might be out of subject, my english not being so good, Not sure what
you mean by "tick"
But, you could rapidly make an Ice tree that throw a coloured Particle
every Nth frame (a green for the 25FPS, a red for the 60Fps)
So that you know where/When your second is..

Hi Folks,
Is it possible to force the timeline to show ticks that mark out 1
second intervals? (or any other custom amount in a similar way to how
the viewport's grid settings are defined).
I'm shifting between different FPS's and would like a timeline so I
could see where exact seconds fall rather than trying to jump between
multiples of 25, 30 & 60...
I'm hoping it's an obvious option that I've just never needed before.
Many thanks,
Adam.
