I sincerely hope people from Autodesk are reading these letters because I think it describes the situation perfectly.
If ADSK had just unveiled some amazing, next-generation DCC that combined all the good parts of Max, Maya and Softimage into one amazing package, I don't think you'd see nearly as many complaints or objections. But that didn't happen, so people are looking to what they feel are BETTER alternatives to what ADSK is offering. This entire situation was absolutely horribly conceived and executed. Rather than stubbornly standing by what is now clearly a bad decision, ADSK could gain a lot of good faith & credibility by actually listening to their customers. -Paul
