Try decreasing the Cell Size value in the Volume Rendering tab of the particle renderer. Or set the interpolation to cubic instead of linear (same tab). Works here.

It has been ages since I have used MR and FG so I am a bit lost here. When I see a sphere object with a float exr sky texture on it - seen through the bounding box of some smoke particles with Particle Render, the sky is darker than outside the particle bounding box. If I turn off Final Gathering the problem goes away. I would prefer to not render passes due to time constraints, so I was wondering if there is a magical switch for making particles and final gathering play along?? Thanks - Morten
