Yes *Jodi*. I started out in Maya in 2004 and have now been using it
exclusively since 2014. However with this lockdown I had an opportunity to
learn Houdini (finally) and I got re acquainted with Soft again and the
workflow just made me fall in love with it again. I was hoping to use Soft
Houdini for some upcoming personal projects. But I may have to use Maya /
Houdini workflow.  I don't love maya

*Meng*   Yes I think bringing in through the renderer is the best way.  But
I don't have an arnold licence so was trying to avoid that. I still get the
watermark. In maya its not a problem.

*Tekano*  I was using the default alembic.  I just tested 'Ogawa' in the
ROP alembic format optionsbut it still crashes. This is on 2015sp2.  I was
importing a simple cached veroni  RBD fracture.  I tried the plug in but
couldnt figure out how to make that work. I will try  Exocortex alembic
implementation next.  Alembic came in just fine in Maya 2015 but when I
sent to Softimage only one piece of fracture came in.   ROM FBX worked fine
in XSI however.  Again Houdini  is still a learning curve for me and I was
trying to figure out which would be best workflow.  Looks like I will have
to use Maya/ Houdini combo if I want to go back and forth. Or start Soft
and end in Houdini.
