"Well, I am at a bit of a loss, Sir. I do not know Admiral Booker all that
well. I have spoken to him on many occassions, but I can not say that I know him
or the condition of his fleet well enough to comment just yet. However, what you
are telling me is surprising to say the least, and quite alarming at most. I can
assure you that this will be looked into, and if it proves to be true I will act
quickly to rectify the situation."

Even as he said this, Lasiter thought that Booker was kind of a light weight.
Never really had a sense of vision, forethought that he should've had. Lasiter
also started to develop a list of possible replacements.

"And that's all we're asking, Sam," Connor told him honestly. "My source on this
is Celeste, here, and she is our ranking experct on the Romulans. Comes by it
honestly," he said, a hint of a smile on his face. Celeste's expression hadn't
changed. "I don't think they're trying to undermine a strong fleet. I think they
honestly feel they're being taken for granted, dismissed as unimportant or not
worthy of defending against. And I know that that is an attitude they wouldn't
suffer lightly. Again, if you tell me he's your man, then we'll stand by that at
STate and just do spin from this side. If you decide he's not the best man, then
we'll spin that as well. We dont' want to interfere, Sam, we want to work together
for a stronger, better Federation."
