>"Good deal. Then we can go meet the Bajorans anytime you like." Joe replied.

>"Sure, let's do it".

"Very good." Joe replied heading toward the door.

They soon arrived at the embassy, and were shown in...
They saw the Chief of Staff behind his desk.
"Good morning Commanders. I understand that you wanted to discuss the incident in
customs a bit furhter. How may I be of assistance?" Rivik greeted the two uniforms as
he came from around his desk to a seating area that was a bit more comfortable.
"Yes, that is correct, sir. I am Commander Joseph Garibaldi from the Starfleet
Inspector General's Office. I understand that I am here to oversee the investigation
into the 'incident' that happen in Customs regarding one of your couriers." Joe
replied rather abruptly, and definately not the prescribed way to speak with a senior
member of a diplomatic mission.
Rivik was obviously taken a little by surprise. He had not expected that kind of a
response. It was terse, rude, and completely arrogant. Most definately not the norm.
To add further insult , the arrogant little puke officer thought that he was in
charge of the investigation...
"Your assistance in our internal investigation is welcomed, Commander Garibaldi.
You would nto be any relation to Markus Garibaldi, a good friend of the Ambassadors
and mine?" came a thinly vailed reminder of who he was speaking to and just where he
was.
"Oh, yes, sir. Admiral Garibaldi is my Uncle. I will tell him that you inquired
about him." Joe replied with the same tone as before- arrogant and disrespectful. He
hoped that the message this time was, so you know my family, big deal..... Perhaps it
was time for good cop to cool things down. Afterall it was just the openning moments
of the meeting, and things had already jumped up a several degrees.
