"Good day Commander Dais. We had not been expecting you. Seems as if you
have left your obnoxious friend Commander Garibaldi. Good decision if I do
say so myself." Rivik said in greeting.
Dais nodded in greeting to the two of them as Rivik spoke.
Allso looked a bit peaked. As if he was worried about the entire
situation.. courier of a severed hand, pressure from Starfleet, pressure
from his own government.....
Dais caught a glimpse of Joe entering quietly. Not trying to sneak in, just
trying not to be subtle about it. The Trill was not sure that it was the
greatest of ideas, but he was pleased to have Joe closer if he needed me.
"Well, Mr. Rivik, I thought that I could talk to Mr. Allso without some of
the tenseness we felt earlier. We all just want to get this resolved as
quickly as possible. Perhaps a smaller group of people being involved in
the discussion will help."
"You are quite right. Shall we go intothe conference room...?" Rivik
offered.
"Well, I would like to thank both of you for taking some time to talk with
me, but I am not sure that it will be necessary to keep you from your work,
Mr. Rivik. I was thinking I could treat Mr. Allso to some lunch while we
talked."
Rivik obviously did not want to allow that.
"It is not a bother at all. We do want to cooperate with our Starfleet
collegues." Rivik answered.
"Mr. Rivik, I appreciate your offer to join us, but I am sure that you have
a very busy schedule maintaining the Embassey. Since it is not really
necessary for you to answer any of our questions, it take a lot of my mind
if I didn't feel that I had to rush in order to allow you to get back to
your very important duties. I would appreciate your cooperation in allowing
us to work at a pace best for the investigation. We would not want to miss
anything by rushing."
