"Mr. Rivik, I appreciate your offer to join us, but I am sure that you have
a very busy schedule maintaining the Embassey. Since it is not really
necessary for you to answer any of our questions, it take a lot of my mind
if I didn't feel that I had to rush in order to allow you to get back to
your very important duties. I would appreciate your cooperation in allowing
us to work at a pace best for the investigation. We would not want to miss
anything by rushing."
'This is taking too much time...' Joe thought to himself. He decided to
walk over and help spring the courier and the XO from the talons of Rivik.
"Good afternoon gents. I am sorry to disturb your conversation, but I do
come with something of a pressing nature." Joe said apologetically.
'Great, what the hell is he doing here...' Rivik thought to himself.
Suspecting a set up of some kind...
"Perhaps we should go into the conference room and discuss it." Rivik
answered.
"Actually that will not be necessary. Mr. Allso, if you will come with me
please we can take care of this matter quite quickly." Joe said.
"He is not going anywhere. He is a diplomatic courier and not subject to
your jurisdictional whims. Commander Garibaldi you should remember your
place in a Bajoran Embassy." Rivik said rather crossly to Joe. He then
turned to Dais, "You too Commander. You should keep Garibaldi on a leash.
A tight one. This meeting is over..." Rivik obivously trying to cut the
scene before it got any more public.
"Afraid not, Mr. Rivik." Joe said handing over the PADD to the diplomat.
"I have a warrent to take Mr. Allso into custody for charges of conspiracy
to commit murder, assult, and possession of contraband. As you will be
happy to read that your government has ceeded jurisdiction to Starfleet on
this matter and given us permission to take Mr. Allso into custody." Joe
let that sink in for a moment. Then added to make the scene more
embarassing...
"You, sir should remember that you are a member of the Federation, and
subject to it's laws just as much as anyone is. Perhaps you should not be
so concerned about your diplomatic privledge and concern yourself about the
charges being filed..." Joe continued the bad cop role so Dais could play
good cop....
A part of Dais wanted to join in with Joe on being the bad cop. He was sick
of playing with Rivik. It was clear from the recording that K'Tael had
recieved that Rivik was also involved in all of this. He wanted to bring
this scumbag in as well. The problem was that the arrest warrant did not
apply to him.
"Mr. Rivik, we have permission from your government to bring Mr. Allso in.
Feel free to contact your homeworld, but there is little that you can do to
stop us in this. As you will recall, you offered to do whatever would help
make this investigation run smooth. Well, here is your chance."
