"Gentlebeings," she said to all, "Admiral Lasiter will be delayed a few
minutes.
"You know the purposes of the meeting, which are to discuss the attacks today,
ascertain what we know about how they occurred and by whom, and to begin
discussion on how to prevent subsequent incidents. Unless you have any
questions you would like to raise before the meeting begins, please use this
time to prepare."
Smallwood looked oddly calm for the Chief of Starfleet Security. He sat there like a
poor poker player withi a great hand. Not grinning, but like he had all of the
answers he needed. "I'm, ready when you are, Admiral." he offered.
Feylan was a different story. He was a bit more on edge than Smallwood was, and was
still pouring over incoming information on his PADD. He was making use of every
possible moment to prepare for the upcoming meeting. He looked up after Smallwood put
in his penny's worth.
"I'll be ready by the time the CinC returns, Admiral.", he said politely, but just
barely taking his eyes off his Padd.
Harmin was the first to ask any real questions during the interlude, "Admiral
t'Llhweiir, is the CinC planning on changing the alert status of the fleet on these
attacks? What impact will that have on current Marine deployments to the police
actions?"

The moment Lasiter left the meeting room, extra security formed up around him.
The media, which seemed to always know where his location, was "encouraged" to
keep a discreet distance.
Also, the shadow that t'Llhweiir had assigned to him stuck by closely.
However, with the additional security, he role changed from watching Lasiter to
looking for those who had an inordinate interest in his movements.
Unfortunately for those charged with keeping Lastier safe, everyone had an interest in
Lasiter- from the senior most officers to the lowliest of the pee-ons. Everyone
wondered how someone could function when a long time friend was killed while burrying
an only child. The media while insanely interested in both the Lasiter the man and
Lasiter the Commanding Admiral of Starfleet decended like flies. Fortunately, only
those with special clearance were even allowed inside the SF Command Complex to begin
with. No one did anything to stir the keen interests of the security around the
Admiral.

A pair of security officers scanned the john before allowing him his privacy.

The security did their best to give him space. Still, they could not give him
much and maintain control of the situation.
The Starfleet Command Complex consisted of several buildings, and the particular
entrance where Lasiter was resting at was one of the lesser used ones. The detail
gently ushered Lasiter in it's direction as it was also easier to control just who
approached.
