"How may I help?" she asked, not as his Intel chief or temp Chief-of-Staff, but
as his old friend. For this moment, the rest of that did not matter.
He looked up at her with an almost pain full look in his eyes., "I need time." The
pain of his son's untimely passing was still too fresh, and now with the additional
pain of M'Rrenn passing. He needed time to collect himself. The delay between the
two meetings was proving to be too much. He could not seem to keep his mind from
wondering.
Managing to bring it together for a monent, he said, "Get the Admirals here ready.
Make sure that they are up to the grilling they will be getting. I need to step out
for a moment to collect myself. I'll be back in a few minutes."
